All my crochet afghan patterns are filet crochet graph patterns, not written patterns. The photo shows what they will look like when finished, and approximate dimensions are given when you click on the photo. The afghan will be in an approximate square or rectangular shape when finished. If you are unfamiliar with filet crochet graph patterns, please see my "pattern tutorial" page, where you can learn to follow a graph pattern. All my graphs work the same way.
